In November 2022, OpenAI Phone Number List released ChatGPT to the public. ChatGPT took the world by storm, surpassing 100 million users within two months of its launch. This is the shortest record in application history.
It took TikTok and Instagram nine months and two and a half years, respectively, to reach 100 million users. Issues related to ChatGPT, content utilizing ChatGPT, and services applying ChatGPT are also appearing every day.
Until now, AI technology has been close yet distant. Although it has been used to trade billions of dollars worth of stocks, conduct genetic research, and conduct national intelligence operations, AI has remained an abstract entity to ordinary users. However, with the advent of ChatGPT, which allows people to write poetry, code, and brainstorm ideas, AI has become closer to life. ChatGPT has opened the era of popularization of AI services.
According to Prepli, 20 years ago, there was another intelligent tool that was just as magical. It's a Google search. Google search is also based on artificial intelligence. With Google Search as a stepping stone, parent company Alphabet became the fourth American IT company to surpass $1 trillion in market capitalization, following Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon.
Preply conducted a test comparing the response capabilities of Google and ChatGPT. We asked 40 questions carefully selected by experts and evaluated the response performance of each AI. The questions covered a variety of topics and were categorized into basic/intermediate/advanced according to level of difficulty. A panel of experts evaluated the answers based on 12 criteria, including usability, clarity, comprehensiveness, conciseness, context, detail, efficiency, functionality, and fairness.
Here we have summarized some of the basic, intermediate, and advanced level questions and answers. In addition, we looked into the answers from the recently announced GPT-4. If there are significant differences from the previous version, an explanation is provided.
Basic question: Google search engine wins 7 to 4

Q. How to tie a tie (Google wins)
When asked ‘How to tie a tie,’ the Google search engine provided more useful video information than text. ChatGPT-4 also provides only text explanations, but while the previous version only provided basic instructions, the latest version provides more detailed information, including how to tie a Windsor tie.
Q. Is Santa Claus real? (ChatGPT wins)
To this question, ChatGPT answered 'a person who does not actually exist', while Google Search answered that it was a real person. Of course, to be precise, a Google search also states that 'Saint Nicholas is a real person who created today's Santa Claus,' but it was ChatGPT that gave a more accurate answer to the question.
